The international ranking platform Research.com has released its latest ranking of Austria’s top medical scientists, and the Clinical Division of Urology at the Medical University of Vienna is proud to celebrate an outstanding achievement.
Univ.-Prof. Dr. Shahrokh F. Shariat, Chair of the Department of Urology at the Medical University of Vienna, has been ranked 3rd among all medical scientists in Austria in the Research.com Medical Sciences Ranking, achieving an impressive D-Index of 155. The D-Index is a bibliometric indicator that measures both scientific productivity and citation impact within a specific field.
This distinction places Prof. Shariat among the most highly cited and productive medical researchers in Austria and positions him just below the average D-Index of 156 achieved by the elite top 5% of ranked scientists. His achievement highlights his exceptional scientific impact and international reputation as a physician-scientist and academic leader.
The Medical University of Vienna once again confirms its leading role in Austria’s research landscape through this remarkable result. With 55 researchers included in the ranking, it is the institution with the highest number of top-ranked medical scientists in the country.
